The Pros And Cons Of LCD TVs
The main advantage of LCD TVs is that they render colors a lot more brightly. So when you watch something on an LCD monitor, you can see the colors pop out of the picture vividly. LCD TVs also do not run on high temperatures, are lighter in weight than plasmas of the same size, and generally have longer life spans - up to 60,000 hours or more.
However, LCD TVs typically lag when they show objects in fast motion. In addition, an LCD TV's individual pixel cell may burn out independently, which can produce annoying speckles of black and white on your screen.

When you watch something on a plasma screen, you will find it hard not to be amazed. The image registered on a plasma TV screen is much more gorgeous than one you will see on an LCD monitor. That is because plasmas are better at color saturation and accuracy, and they render black more deeply. They are also great with tracking fast movements on screen.
The problem with plasmas, on the other hand, is that they can get really hot to the touch. The individual phosphors in the plasma's pixel cells can also burn in easily on static images. The life span of a plasma TV set is also smaller in number than that of the LCD.
